PSA: The word "Fine" in this instance can also pronounced as "Wine".
Casey and Andrew are a fun and adventurous couple who love good food, dancing and have a very special place in their hearts for vineyards and brewery's. They joke that their best memories always happen with a glass of wine in hand. They are getting married this summer at D'Vine Grace Vineyard, and if you are familiar with that venue, then you know its the perfect place for a couple who loves wine. But the story gets sweeter when you hear about the proposal!
But first, let me give you some back story...
The Introduction
In 2014, both Andrew and Casey were attending the University of North Texas. They were both biology majors, and involved in Greek Life. From time to time they had classes together which is how they came to know each other. There was chemistry and they flirted a little - but they were just friends. When they both joined the philanthropy board for Greek Life in 2015, they started spending a lot more time together and became very close. Casey could tell there was something there, and randomly asked him to her sorority's date party, where they spontaneously kissed. They continued spending time together, and Andrew began to notice the exceptional way Casey treated him, his friends, his little sister and even herself.
They remained close friends until 2016, during their senior year, when Casey asked him to be her date at her cousin's wedding. This was a big deal to Andrew, because he knew he would be meeting all of her close family members. The night of the wedding, they decided to go on a walk around the premises and walked next to a barn. Andrew looked at Casey and told her her was about to say something super crazy. She looked right back at him and said, "just say it". So Andrew confessed that he was falling in love with her. Without missing a beat, Casey reciprocated the sentiments.
The Love
Andrew first realized he loved Casey in very moment that he told her, at the wedding. He thought it was a little crazy, saying it as early as he did, but he admired the way Casey treated the people around her - especially his sister - and that her radiant personality fills up a room. Andrew truly felt happy, secure and full of life being the man in her life.
Casey took notice that Andrew was willing to show up at a wedding and sit alone, knowing no one but her. That day, she realized this man was willing to do anything for her, and that he continuously showed support and encouragement for her. It was then that she knew that she loved him!
The Proposal
Fast forward to February, 2020. Casey and Andrew traveled with a couple friends to Fredericksburg to see the vineyards - a trip they had been hoping to take for some time. They went from winery to winery, having a grand time. Barons Creek Vineyard was the last winery they visited. With a wine glass in hand, the group started walking around the vineyard. Their friends slowly drifted away and Andrew stopped in front of a fountain. Getting down on one knee, and pulling a ring box from his boot, he professed how much she meant to him and asked her to marry him. Neither remember much of what was said, except "This has been the biggest pain to plan! But I've known that I've always loved you". Casey said "Yes!" and jumped into Andrew's arms.
It wasn't long before they headed to a private tasting room, where all the couple's friends and family waited secretly. As Casey and Andrew entered the room, everyone yelled "surprise!". The thought that everyone had travelled so far to be there filled Casey with such overwhelming love and joy that she burst into tears. Although she may have suspected the proposal when the embarked on the vineyard excursion, the true surprised was seeing so many loved ones there to support them.
