PHOTOGRAPHY TRIAL SESSION

You try on wedding dresses to have the best fit, and you do a makeup trial to perfect your style. But how do you know if you will feel comfortable working with any one photographer? How do you know if they will be able to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera, or provide you with remarkable images? This is your opportunity to find out!

Photography Trial Sessions are the perfect time for us to get to know one another, as well as allowing you both to experience how I will direct you in front of the camera. My job is to make you feel like a million bucks, and document this season of your love in a radiant way. Having this experience will not only help you select your ideal photographer, but it will also have a HUGE impact on your actual wedding day! You will feel more like a pro in front of the camera, because of the practice you had at your trial session! That being said, here are a few tips to keep in mind, to make your Photography Trial Session the very best experience!

Get Dressed Up

Wearing formal clothes (like a suit or a dress & heels) will not only make you look amazing, but it will actually prepare you for portraits on your wedding day. You'll already be used to moving around in formal wear, and won't suddenly feel stiff for the camera when you have your tux or wedding dress on!

Pro Hair/MU

Since you will need to schedule a trial for your professional hair and makeup, why not schedule it the day of your photography trial? You'll get double mileage because pro hair and makeup is perfect for the camera! Schedule it about 3 hours before your session to give you the best timing!

Location

Trial Sessions are typically held at one of two locations! If you selected Fort Worth, we will meet at Bass Performance Hall, on the sidewalk under the angels. If you selected Dallas, we will meet at the Dallas Municipal Court, on the sidewalk on the corner of Hardwood and Main.

Parking

Sundance Square Garage 2 (400 Jones St, Fort Worth, TX 76102) is close to Bass Hall. Free parking is available on weekdays after 5PM. Elm Street Garage (2000 Elm St, Dallas, TX 75201) is right across from the Municipal Court. It is about $5 to park.

FAQ

How much does the Trial Session Cost?

Trial Sessions are $400. However, if you decide you book your wedding with Mordi Photographie after having your Trial Session, you will receive a print credit for $400.

How long is the trial session?

We will spend a few minutes when you first arrive, just chatting and getting acquainted. The portraits will take 60 minutes. When we've finished taking pictures, we'll
sit down to enjoy a treat and chat about the things you absolutely loved and the things you might change about your experience. All in all, plan for about 90 minutes.

When Will I get images?

Within 3 weeks of your Trial Session, you'll receive at least 25 fully retouched digital images to keep, print and share on social media! Please remember to tag @mordiphotographie on Instagram and Facebook!

Can I have more images?

I will always give you every incredible image from your session, no need to ask. ;) However, I guarantee a minimum of 25 images.

Will the images be shared on the MP Instagram Page?

I try to share at least one image from each of my couples sessions on Instagram! It will highlight our incredible time together, and showcase your radiance!

Do I still need to fill out the questionnaire I received in my email?

Yes! The Engagement Questionnaire will help me get to know you both a little better before your Trial Session. This makes a huge difference as I work to showcase who you are as a couple. It also gives you a chance to let me know if there is anything specific you like, or something you are uncomfortable with.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

Please be courteous of my time. If you need to reschedule or cancel for personal reasons, do so at least 24 hours before the Trial Session. This can be done in the link you received in your email, or by emailing me directly. If the weather is not going to be in our favor, I will contact you about rescheduling.

Will we still have an Engagement Session?

All Wedding Packages include an Engagement Session. If we do a Trial Session before you book Wedding Photography Coverage with me, it will essentially take the place of your Engagement Session after booking your photography coverage and the fee you paid for your Trial Session will be returned to you in the form of Print Credit.
